15th within NJ? So why does Ridgewood have this “great schools” image? hey, let’s have a survey where we can say Ridgewood High School is ranked the top high school in Ridgewood?
15th ? Do they factor in our stellar Lax teams…??
Underwhelming, to say the least.
Jersey City #4? Really?
Time to move down to Monmouth County. Freehold or Lincroft…
15 from 400 odd puts the HS in the top 4% in NJ, and 6 of the top 15 were vocational. My kids received a great education here. And I think seeing Elizabeth and Jersey City schools in the top rankings is great.
Looking at dollars per student the village is a good deal.
This is a really a top 5 if you eliminate the weighted points for minority population and the magnet/vocational schools. Diversity is a great goal but not one that a public school which simply accepts the people who live in the town can actually control.
The school’s sheer size, and the fact that it is not a regional school or a magnet school but is confined within and coextensive with the borders of a single municipality, combine to distinguish Ridgewood HS from the other top-ranked high schools in the region. Now if we could only get decent baseball and swimming facilities we’d be in like Flynn!
Why are my taxes top five in NJ for only the 15th best school?
ANY “ranking” from US News mean absolutely nothing…bought and paid for and if you think otherwise guess what?
You’ve been duped… What a scam.
The charters and magnet schools siphon off the top students. Of course they are at the top. They cost top dollar.
Remove the charters and magnets and just rank public schools.
