Images, patterns, and logos can now be created using glass laser engraving and etching. Glass engravings have been used for creating beautiful gifts, decorations and keepsakes over a long period. Other techniques used to mark or customize an item include electrochemical marking and inkjet marking. Still, none of these processes will produce images as well-defined as 3D laser engraving. This 3D procedure works better with laser engraving, which employs a laser rather than a cutting bit because it can readily penetrate the surface without a bit inadvertently getting in the way or running through prior engraving markings.
