FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ – The rapid, coordinated response of the Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department (FLVFD) and its mutual aid partners prevented a catastrophic loss last Thursday afternoon. Firefighters successfully battled a structure fire that originated in the kitchen and quickly extended into the attic space of a home on Covington Place East.
