James A. Baker, III, the 61st Secretary of State and 67th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, endorsed New Jersey Republican Senate nominee Jeff Bell on Monday and praised his monetary reform plan that is at the centerpiece of his campaign.
Baker in a statement said, “Jeff Bell was a key man in getting Ronald Reagan’s successful economic policies off the ground and now his advocacy for a dollar as good as gold is what’s needed in the U.S. Senate.”
Bell responded, “James Baker is one of America’s most distinguished public servants. He played a leading role in making the U.S. into the world’s only superpower and I am enthused that he supports my economic plan to restore the kind of prosperity we had in the ’80s and ’90s.”
