Officer Brock made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the community he loved, leaving behind a profound legacy that continues to shape the Paramus Police Department .

Paramus Police Department Remembers Officer Killed In Line Of Duty 42 years Ago

Paramus NJ, Wednesday, October 3, 2018, will mark the Forty-Second Anniversary of the line of duty death of Police Officer Michael P. McEllen. Officer McEllen was killed while responding to a call of an activated burglar alarm during the early morning hours of October 3, 1976. Officer McEllen left behind his wife and two young children. McEllen,  was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
Paramus Police  ask that we all take a moment to remember both, the sacrifice that Officer Michael McEllen made on that day and all of those who have sacrificed their lives for this Community and Nation.
