Hoboken NJ, Commuters in New York and New Jersey are facing a logistical nightmare as “Arctic-level” ice buildup has effectively shut down water travel across the harbor. Following the record-breaking “Winter Storm Fern,” the Hudson and East Rivers have transformed into fields of floating ice, forcing NYC Ferry to suspend all services as of January 27, 2026.
