Readers Not Impressed with Friday’s Ridgewood News “Enclave” ad threatening to sue the Village

keep-calm-and-sue-everybody-6

Now if only the builders would stop threatening lawsuits every time they fear they won’t get their way…

Notice that John Saraceno took a full page ad in last Friday’s Ridgewood News essentially threatening to sue us if he doesn’t get his way. This is going to end up in court one way or another. What a failure of leadership by our Council majority. The only reason that they “did the right thing” was that they were getting shouted down by hundreds of people vowing to vote them out of office if they didn’t listen.

I thought that the full page threat from “The Enclave” was over the top.Coward who paid for it did not ise his name. Threat came from a yet-to-be-built complex.Warning the town that if they don’t get their way there will be hell to pay. Yea, this is going to court.

Reader says The Village has been lucky to have politicians who were serving the citizens not developers….until now

3 amigos

…they say 1. ‘it’s to provide high end apartments to seniors looking to downsize, 2. To re energize our town which is apparently viewed as deteriorating and 3. If you don’t let us do this we will put something on the properties which will be way worse than apartments. People say aren’t apartments better than what is there now? NO. Why do you think they have been barren properties for so long? Because they have been told they have the support of politicians to get this done for them. High density apartments is the most profitable option for developers. For decades developers have wanted to crack our Master Plan which has always been in tact to prevent such overdevelopment. The Village has been lucky to have politicians who were serving the citizens not developers….until now.

the fly has leaned the Village is looking to hire some friends at a higher pay rate …

fly-on-wall

According to the Ridgewood News , last week, the Village Council discussed a possible change to an ordinance that would allow for the hiring of employees at a pay rate higher than the lowest salary possible on a case-by-case basis. ( https://www.northjersey.com/news/proposal-would-allow-higher-pay-rate-1.1412612 )Various excuses were made ,coupled with phony claims of looking to hire the “best”

But the real reasons seem clear to most residents they are looking to hire more of their friends at a higher rate. Its seems there was already an attempt  to bring cops in from the County but the problem was they had less then a year on and the County would not release them. So this is  good management? You try to save money so you bring people in at a higher step on the pay scale? Wow I must have missed this. I just want to ask you do you want an ex Paterson , Newark or Trenton cops patrolling the streets of Ridgewood?

Already we have seen the new HR supervisor is anything but personable.  She has a very disturbing personality and won’t acknowledge people she has a problem with including a council member. In her first appearance before the council, she couldn’t even hide her anger about being questioned.
