The future of the video app Tiktok in the US seems to be secured after President Donald Trump approved a deal between the Chinese owner Bytedance and US companies. Tiktok’s global business will be transferred to a new company based in the US, “probably in Texas,” Trump said. The Department of Commerce postponed the download stop for the App in the USA, which should take effect for users starting Monday, by one week.  4besnews Trump had called Tiktok a security risk, because the App belongs to the Chinese Bytedance company. In his view, Chinese authorities could have used the app to obtain data from Americans. Following this reasoning, he laid the foundation for the removal of the app in the USA with two orders. According to the deal that has now been finalized, the software company Oracle is to process all data of US users and take care of the corresponding technical systems. WASHINGTON DC,  In response to President Trump’s Executive Orders signed August 6, 2020, the Department of Commerce announced prohibitions on transactions relating to mobile applications (apps) WeChat and TikTok to safeguard the national security of the United States. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has demonstrated the means and motives to use these apps to threaten the national security, foreign policy, and the economy of the U.S. Today’s announced prohibitions, when combined, protect users in the U.S. by eliminating access to these applications and significantly reducing their functionality.

Trump Administration Moves to Ban “TikTok” App

Washington DC, on Friday President Trump’s announcement that he plans to ban Chinese-owned TikTok has halted a potential acquisition of the popular app by Microsoft, with both companies waiting for more information for the U.S. government, according to several people involved in the talks.

The two companies were in advance stages of negotiating a deal that could have been announced as soon as Monday. Under the deal, TikTok’s owner Bytedance would sell the U.S. operation of TikTok to Microsoft, while continuing to operate the rest of the global video app out of a European headquarters. It’s unclear if the companies would share technology, such as through a licensing arrangement, or whether Microsoft would rebuild and operate the company. One option under consideration would have had Bytedance eventually separate its China business by listing it as a public company.

Doctors Warn Of Dangerous ‘Skull Breaker Challenge’ on TikTok after student hospitalized

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey officials are warning the state’s students about the “Skull Breaker Challenge” on TikTok.The challenge involves two people tripping a third person as he or she jumps in the air, causing the person in the middle to fall hard on the ground. A student from Cherry Hill Middle School in Westfield was hospitalized last week from the challenge.
