Ridgewood NJ, Actors hit picket lines Friday in their first strike against film and TV productions since 1980 and the nation’s largest strike since 1997. Thousands of actors officially go on strike starting Friday as the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists failed to secure a new contract with major studios by the Wednesday midnight deadline.

Hollywood Writers Strike Continues

Ridgewood NJ, on May 3rd the Writers Guild of America began a strike  after talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed to reach an agreement on a new contract. The 11,500-member WGA argues pay has not kept up with the rapid pace of two technological changes: the rise of streaming services and artificial intelligence.
