Ridgewood Police Reminded : Over 2,500 motorcycles are involved in crashes on New Jersey roads
April 24,2013
Every year, over 2,500 motorcycles are involved in crashes on New Jersey roads. Many of these crashes are caused by the motorcyclist’s inexperience and lack of training. In fact, 90% of riders who get into crashes have no formal training.
They either taught themselves or learned from a friend. Don’t make the same mistake – take a rider safety course certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. They’re offered at over 15 locations in New Jersey.
I agree. As a motorcyle rider of 30+ years, the safety course is excellent. A beginner’s course is available for those who want to learn, and it provides a motorcyle to use. Advanced courses are available for experienced riders. And you will get a discount on your insurance.
The biggest cause of accidents is autos making a left turn without looking, which=collision.
They should also drive on the roads as a vehicle and not as a bicycle. Stay in a real lane, don’t make your own lane. It is just plain dangerous.
