Wallington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 43-year-old ERICKSON LEDESMA of West Hazleton, PA on charges of luring, criminal sexual contact, impersonation, and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Wallington Police Department, under the direction of Chief Ireneusz Kluska.
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the Wallington Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wallington Police Department revealed that on April 30, 2025, ERICKSON LEDESMA lured a juvenile into his vehicle for the purpose of committing a criminal offense against the child. The investigation also revealed that LEDESMA committed criminal sexual contact upon the child, identified himself to a business establishment as the child’s father, and endangered the child in Elmwood Park, NJ between April 30, 2025 and May 1, 2025, and again identified himself as the child’s father at a location in Guttenberg, NJ on May 1, 2025.
As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, ERICKSON LEDESMA was charged with second-degree luring, N.J.S.A. 2C:13-6a; two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1)/ N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2); fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b; and two counts of fourth-degree impersonation, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-17a(1). On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, LEDESMA turned himself in to authorities and was arrested in Paramus, NJ. LEDESMA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
