The Palisade Park BOE has now rejected a school budget that would have increased school taxes 5.5% , but most board members considered the burden on families enduring financial hardship because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Palisade Park BOE decided in stead to approved a more modest budget that will result in a 2% increase, and included an unspecific number of teacher, secretary and custodial layoffs.
