
Bergen County Man Identified and Facing Serious Felony Charges

LEONIA, NJ — Authorities have announced the arrest and charging of a Bergen County man who worked as a teacher in Passaic County, following allegations of sexual assault against a nine-year-old student.
The accused, Paul Yang, 32, of Leonia, NJ, was taken into custody on Wednesday, December 7th, and has been formally charged with sexual assault.
Details of the Allegations
The investigation was initiated after the young victim, a student at Paterson Public School No. 25, reported an “incident of abuse” that reportedly took place on Wednesday.
Police assert that the investigation concluded the student had been assaulted by Yang in his classroom during school hours. Yang is publicly listed as a fourth-grade teacher on the school’s website.
