PATH service resumes from Hoboken to Midtown

Ridgewod NJ, Gov. Chris Christie, along with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, announced today that PATH rail service at the Hoboken station will resume today December 19th with service to and from the 33rd Street station in Manhattan.

The announcement comes after weeks of extensive repairs following damage from Hurricane Sandy.The trains will initially run in both directions until 10 p.m. seven days a week. Sandy flooded PATH tunnels with as much as eight feet of salt water, destroying critical signals and switching systems ,with the Hoboken station particularly hard hit.
