Few state governments are saddled with as much debt as New Jersey. The state has an outstanding balance of nearly $66 billion — equal to $7,411 per resident, one of the highest debt per capita figures of any state. The state also has a woefully underfunded pension system, with funding for only 35.8% of its total pension obligations. The state government’s financial woes do not stop there. New Jersey is one of only four states with no savings set aside to fund government operations in the event of a revenue shortfall.
People living in the state are also less likely to be able to find a job than most Americans. New Jersey’s annual unemployment rate of 4.1% is higher than the comparable 3.9% national rate.

The governor and the NJ Teacher’s Association sold us down the river. Medicare alone would be better than our combined Aetna Medicare policy. There was never a problem when we had BC/BS and Medicare. Example: previously, the physical therapist and doctor who wrote the prescription would determine if more therapy is needed. Now, request (RX) is outsourced to a private company. TWO people must approve the therapy, and not necessarily the amount requested. At the end of the approved period, the time-consuming process repeats itself often causing a delay in therapy. This lack of continuity often causes a step backwards.
The roads in NJ are all a mess Taxes are extremely to high no one can afford to live here I was told to move by a employee at the Social Security building in Bridgeton he said move some where cheaper all my family lives here and I’m a senior I was appuald this state needs a enema!!!!
