Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police Department officers issued a summons to the driver of a black Ford F-150 after the truck became stuck in a municipally owned wooded area at the end of Hawthorne Place on Sunday evening, May 11th.
According to the Ridgewood PD Patrol Division, the vehicle somehow left the paved dead-end street and traveled down a narrow, unpaved dirt path leading directly onto Dunham Trail, a popular pedestrian route where motor vehicles are strictly prohibited.
Truck Removed, No Damage Reported
Although the Ford F-150 was not damaged, it required assistance from a tow truck to be removed from the path. Once pulled back onto solid ground, the vehicle was able to be driven away under its own power.
Police did not release details regarding why the driver entered the restricted trail, but confirmed that one traffic summons was issued in connection with the incident.
Community Trail Misuse Raises Safety Concerns
Dunham Trail is a well-used recreational trail for hikers and bikers, and is clearly marked as a no-vehicle zone. Incidents like this raise concerns about public safety and the enforcement of vehicular restrictions in protected green spaces.

He was late for the Idiot Festival and tried to take a shortcut.
Wow, how embarrassing that is for Ford, found on road dead, but this time found on trail dead, so embarrassing. I love it.
Silly place to park. I guess the garage was full…
If it was a CyberTruck it would be national news….
He was just “building a berm”
I’m so happy it was a Ford. The Ford owners are crying. If I see some of these guys cruising around in there $70,000 for pick up trucks. And half of them don’t even use them they just ride around. They think they’re luxury.
