Ridgewood NJ, we stopped by Pierre & Michel Authentic French Bakery in Ridgewood and we were not disappointed.
Pierre & Michel is located at 95 Broadway in Elmwood Park; 201-300-6580. The second location is at 38 E. Ridgewood Avenue.
We ordered the Cafe Americana, nothing like fresh ground coffee to get your day off to a great start. Fresh beans deliver a beautiful crema on a cup of coffee, not bitter but full-bodied and smooth. The coffee was expertly served by a very attentive barista.
The bakery is headed by pastry chefs Michel Kory and Pierre Chayenne. Parisians Chayenne and Kory have worked and trained at prestigious Paris spots, including the highly respected Bellouet Conseil Paris, and the famed famous French house LeNôtre LeNotre, as well as and the 4-star Hotel Concorde Lafayette.
Next, we ordered a chocolate chip croissant which is over the top delicious. Pierre and Michel is the latest local bakery to lay claim to authentic French patisserie. The food is authentic, service is excellent and the place has a nice vibe to people watch and check out your Instagram.
