Trenton NJ, President Donald Trump officially endorsed Jack Ciattarelli for New Jersey governor on Monday, giving a major boost to the GOP candidate heading into a pivotal election year.
“Jack Ciattarelli is a terrific America First Candidate running to be the next Governor of a state that I love, NEW JERSEY!” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.
The endorsement marks a turning point in their political relationship, as Ciattarelli was once critical of Trump but has since embraced the president’s platform.
Trump: Ciattarelli Is “All In” on America First Agenda
Trump praised Ciattarelli for going “ALL IN” on the America First agenda, highlighting his alignment with key conservative priorities:

Trump also framed the New Jersey governor’s race as a national battleground in the culture wars, saying the world is watching to see if Americans will “end WOKE and all the other NONSENSE.”

Ciattarelli Responds: “Truly Humbled and Honored”
In response, Jack Ciattarelli took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude:
“I’m truly humbled and honored to receive President Trump’s very strong endorsement today. It’s time to unite our party, win big in November, and make New Jersey affordable and safe again.”
He ended his message with a promise:
“When I am Governor, we will.”
Why This Race Matters
The New Jersey gubernatorial race is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched elections in the country. As a traditionally blue-leaning state with growing political discontent over taxes, affordability, and public safety, Republicans see a real opportunity to flip the state red in 2025.
Ciattarelli, who narrowly lost to Gov. Phil Murphy in 2021, has emerged as the GOP frontrunner and now enjoys the backing of the most influential figure in conservative politics.
