Washington DC, in a series of posts on his social media platform, President Donald Trump publicly expressed his frustration with Attorney General Pam Bondi, urging her to move more quickly on investigations into several high-profile political figures. Trump questioned why there appeared to be a “delay” in bringing charges against former FBI Director James Comey, Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The president’s comments came after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard referred Comey to the Department of Justice for possible criminal activity related to the 2016 Russia investigation narrative. Trump also highlighted allegations of mortgage fraud against both Schiff and James, pointing to reports that they claimed properties as their “primary residences” in different states.

A Call for Action and a New Nomination

In his post, Trump directly quoted what he described as public sentiment, stating that people believe it’s “all talk, no action.” He stressed that the perceived delay in justice was “killing our reputation and credibility” and called for “JUSTICE TO BE SERVED, NOW!!!”

Trump also used the post to criticize a former U.S. Attorney nominee for the Eastern District of Virginia, whom he said he fired for being a “Woke RINO” who “was never going to do his job.”

In a subsequent post, Trump praised Bondi’s work but said she “needs a tough prosecutor” to “get things moving.” He then announced his intention to nominate Lindsey Halligan to be the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, calling her “Fair, Smart, and [someone who] will provide, desperately needed, JUSTICE FOR ALL!”

The public pressure from the president underscores his ongoing focus on these investigations and his desire for a quick resolution.

  1. Again, this is so dangerous. He lamented the weaponization of the Justice Department but has made this a cornerstone of his administration. The Justice Department should operate at arms length from the President and should not be a political instrument for either party!

    2. There’s a big difference between fabricated charges to incapacitate political opponents and actual criminal activity.

  3. James the fact that you can be so sure that everyone in one party is guilty of a crime and everyone in the other party is purely a victim makes your ignorance and partisanship obvious. There are plenty of criminals on both sides of the aisle – but also, disagreeing with your opponent isn’t a crime.

    1. Russia, Russia, Russia = Treason
