Just before 3:00 PM on September 29, 2025, emergency services were dispatched to reports of smoke filling the residence. The source of the smoke was quickly traced to burning insulation that had ignited outside the home, reportedly in conjunction with ongoing electrical work.

Minor Incident, Major Smoke

Fortunately, the quick efforts of residents or workers meant the small fire was already out by the time the first responders arrived on the scene. The incident has been classified as “no injuries/minor damage,” underscoring the success of the rapid response.

The primary task for the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department upon arrival was to address the heavy smoke condition that had spread throughout the home.

Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department firefighters immediately deployed several smoke ejector fans to rapidly ventilate the structure and clear the air. This essential procedure ensured the safety of the residence and minimized potential smoke damage to the property.

Stay vigilant, Glen Rock! Always be sure to check that all electrical work is conducted safely and according to code.
