Yeah, cut down the trees for the sports folks. And you know what, you sports folks, don;’t deserve any more rain. And you might not get any.
You have cut so many trees down and replaced God’s grass with artificial turf that you sports folks have destroyed the climate. and the environment.
So just be damn happy in your stupid brains, because none of your games will ever again be canceled on account of rain.
I am so sick of the all or nothing solutions including astroturf. That site is perfect for a small neighborhood field. Choose soccer or baseball, not both. You could have a small field, lots of trees and maybe a small playground. If it was a grass field it would be useful to the neighbors when it wasnt being used for sports. The town bought the site so it can’t just be left as wild nature. But at the same time, it doesn’t have to become a professional stadium.
The system of proposals and discussions is broken. Instead of encouraging compromise and solutions it ends up pitting “doing nothing” against “huge monstrosity.”
Your view Brian, seems reasonable, thanks
Looking at the aerial picture, there are several home to the north….I hope they like soccer, baseball and lacrosse.
Put a couple of water storage tanks there.
put condos on the site.
In looking at the aerial, I realized I found the solution: High-Density housing would be a great fit. Just think of how many families with school-children EEE I mean empty-nesters we could cram in there!
Stop clear cutting of trees! Time to unite. 09/30/15, 7:30PM, Village Council Public Work Session. Spread the word. Tell a friend. Bring a neighbor.
Ellie Wildscape is guilty of changing her tune….10+ years ago she was trying to protect the woods on the east side…
Geez, the next thing you’ll say is global warming is why we have water restrictions
