Reader asks Gail Price How about the GWMS fiasco when police from several towns appeared?
The Planning Board erred in presuming that attendance would be low based on previous meetings. “This is the first time this has happened,” said the attorney substituting for Gail Price. Really? How about the GWMS fiasco when police from several towns appeared? A lot of people, including the press, would obviously want to hear CRR’s experts testify for the first time.
More likely this was a cynical attempt to squeeze and heat the crowd. In either case logic and the fire code won out and the meeting was postponed.
The lemonade from this lemon stew is that by September 30 (a) more people will be in town and able to attend and (b) CRR’s advisers will have had an extra 6 weeks to read through ten tons of backup material (we send our condolences) and prepare.
Has anyone ever questioned Gail Price’s competence in being the counsel to the PB?
huh? gail wasn’t at the meeting there was a substitute there.
You may not agree with her decisions, but Gail Price is the best there is. Who are you to judge her job performance?
Tax payers and citizens have the right to judge all public officials PERIOD ! as for judging her its the performance that counts … better get out a copy of the Constitution and read it several times to get the hang of it
There has been very low attendance at the planning board meetings this time around. The first few were held at RHS, BF & GW expecting large crowds, but they never came out. So they moved back to Village Hall, which had been sufficient, until this meeting. It probably should have been anticipated that the attendance may be higher for this meeting, but with summer vacations, no one was really sure how many people would attend. Let’s not spend time placing blame . Instead, encourage people to attend on Sept 30th.
the fact is you would not be holding meetings in the middle of the summer unless you were looking for low turnout
