There was not a single employee of the Ridgewood Public School System who could have been promoted to fill the principal’s position at Orchard?
What does that say about top District management and the BOE itself if we have no viable succession program?
From last night’s meeting agenda:

Disgraceful….either Shauna and Frank deserved this position…
If someone says there was a more qualified person, that is a reasonable argument. However, there is no particular reason for the BOE to have a “succession” program. We should hire the best educators/administrators for the money.
yes put on some on from the inside.
” . . . there is no particular reason for the BOE to have a “succession” program.”
I disagree. The reason to have a succession program is to boost morale and retain your top employees. If there is no expectation that they can move up in the ranks, they will leave for other districts.
How could she have taught 1st and 3rd grade at the same time?
Ms Stoval from BF is a good pick.
they never hire from within even if qualified
To 6:57 pm – I didn’t see Nyhuis or Pizzuto leave when Gorman was hired in over them, after they were even working as temporary co-principals for a time. These aren’t jobs with a lot of movement or expected growth opportunity above.
