ask Jim Mac Greevey where the pension money went ?
Reader asks so where did all that money from the pension piggy bank go if it didn’t balance budgets ?
Maybe if our Past Governors didn’t use the government employees pension systems as their personal piggy banks without repaying what they took, and if the municipalities and state actually paid in what they were suppose to there wouldn’t be a pension funding problem.Your State income taxes are about to go up even higher.
Whitman, McGreevy and Corzine played serious games with pension funds. But the health care benefits are an even bigger liability than the unfunded pension liability, $59bn vs $47bn. That’s over $100bn in unfunded promises made. Taxes may be going up, but benefits will have to be reduced, too, it’s not a one way street. Here’s a good question: We already have the second highest state and local taxes in the country vs,. one of the largest unfunded pension liabilities, so where did all that money from the pension piggy bank go if it didn’t balance budgets ?
I don’t know maybe we should asks BROKEN RECORD to do some checking.
SPENDING….SPENDING….SPENDING…..SPENDING……AND THEN MORE SPENDING.
First comes rampant uncontrolled spending
Then comes rampant uncontrolled borrowing (and steeling from pension funds)
Then comes rampant uncontrolled taxation
Get used to it, cause it ain’t going away, it’s MATH.
Whitman was first in screwing with pension money and it has turned into a total disaster.
Most politicians ‘don’t get it’.
They think they can borrow/spend.. and they do.
Unless you have run a business, had to make payroll, debt, and tax payments (successfully) you have no right to piss away taxpayers money.
Spending on what ? Not anything that made the state more business friendly or grew our economy ? Didn’t Xanadu get funded by state pension money ? What ever happened to that ? Does the state pension fund own that ?
It’s
Bush’splace Republican name here faultgot it.
We get the politicians we deserve. We will always vote for the guy with the best set of promises, and then we get mad because those promises were simply impossible to achieve without a whole lot of smoke and mirrors. Politics, in general, is basically a system of legalized corruption.
I’ll take it one step further.
In the ‘real world’, only ‘shareholders’ can vote at a corporate meeting.
Why do we let those who are not shareholders vote? (=mooches getting welfare, Sec 8 rent, EBT cards etc)
The system should be modified so that if you’re on the receiving end, you should not be able to vote.
Whey the hell should you be allowed to say how money is being spent if you’re not contributing? (via paying taxes)
I’m sure all of the limousine liberals will be flaming me, but I don’t care. In advance.. heres a ‘f-u’ to you.
