“Changes will ultimately be decided by the NJEA and dictated to state government and the various school districts. At the very least, the NJEA will effectively hold veto power on any and all changes that are proposed to life in our public schools in response to COVID-19. For their part, the powers that be know not to push too hard for changes of which the NJEA will not approve. The final plan will preserve all of the jobs, pay and benefits the teachers and administrators currently enjoy, and disadvantage students more or less exclusively. It will amount to a huge middle digit to parents of current students, and to sheep-like taxpayers who diligently fund this nonsense year-in and year-out.”
Remote schooling during covid has shown that we don’t need the over-paid union teachers with their cadillac health care plans, generous benefits and pensions.
We can video with a competent energetic teacher from middle american for a HUGE savings.
Bye bye unions
You’re dreaming we will always need teachers.
Meantime we pay through the nose ..
Town is not sustainable
Gov.Murphy is Broke.
Pain to Come in large quantities
Rwood needs a fiscal cost reduction plan now
The Teachers Union exists to make Teachers (good and bad) less accountable, and teaching more expensive. True, remote learning is potentially disruptive to their plans, but I don’t think we should be counting our chickens yet. NJEA helps keep the libs in power…we’ll get the same nonsense forever until enough of us wake up and vote RED.
Frankly, I don’t know why the Teachers put up with it. There would be so much more money available for them if we could eliminate this part of the NJ Union/Corruption tax.
The NJEA wants pay with no or little work. Same goal as all unions
