Reader says Police need to walk the beat downtown for better Pedestrian Safety
The main problem is that most people just walk out into the road, you can not and should not do that. in the am the kids look at the ground and do not look at any thing else. how the hell can any one just stop when you have some one run into the cross walk. this law is not working.
I don’t know who came up with this shit. when i was a kid my mom and dad all ways said to me you stop and look both ways and see if it is safe.and then walk. people need to wake up.yes some drivers need to slow down in the c b d. the worst drivers are the dam n j bus’es that fly in and out of the c b d. the cops need to be on the walk and stop parking in the park . get out of the dam car and walk like years a go.
They don’t need to be in a cop car all day long.in ny they walk. in the 70,s and 80,s they walk in the c b d. we need one on one. put on a horse. they make a lot of money to be a cop in Ridgewood, it’s a real safe town they can walk around in the rain or heat. come on. the poor garbage man who takes my cans do it every day. and they make half of a cop and work a lot harder. thanks benny.
