Eliminating captains for all RHS Athletic teams is ridiculous. This is all about parent complaints and the RHS admin folding to the pressure. The players and varsity coaches know who deserves to be the captain(s).
AD should dictate the captain election process, and coaches should follow it. and parents need to knock it off
So AD wants to hand out senior participation awards. Grow a spine
Welcome to the Era where Ridgewood Athletics don’t win any County or State Championships….
No, they do not. It’s a popularity contest.
Example – 2nd year wrestler with losing record (really badly) and no leadership becomes a captain when kids who have 8-10 years experience (year-round), have high % of wins, work the JV kids, and have placed in Regions are left out? ‘nother year a non-starter (aka donut) is a captain?
It’s Jeff nhyus trying to hold back smart kids.
Will the YMCA be awarded the contract instead of Alpha Best? Ramon to the rescue!
why should Ramon recuse? , Rescue not recuse.
Rescue not recuse.
The Mayor will make the final decision.. His pockets are open
YMCA should have been awarded this contract. They were the highest bidder. It was not awarded to YMCA because of some people’s personal issues against Ramon. So Ramon was the hurdle here not the rescuer!
Didn’t appear that way last night. Process was fair. Try again next year. Learn from this year and prepare the winning proposal.
the last couple of business managers for the schools sounded like penny stock scammers
