The Village Council has started the process of deciding when and where to hold hearings on the Valley Hospital “Renewal” proposal.

At a meeting on Wednesday, council members focused on three main points that will guide their decision.

When?

The first concern dealt with whether to begin public meetings as soon as possible or hold off until September, after the summer months when many Ridgewood residents go on vacation.

“We’re now starting to get into, by the time we get this going, the summer months,” Mayor Keith Killion said. “There have been concerns with some residents that this is prime time for vacation. Should we really have these hearings during the summer when people would be away and might not have time to speak?”
