Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Crew is proud to announce the acquisition of a racing shell with Olympic pedigree. The Filippi F52 4x – Carbon Aliante Wing Rigger was recently confirmed to have been used by the Romanian Federation during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
“We’re thrilled to provide our student-athletes with equipment that has competed at the highest level of the sport,” said Head Coach Boris Roque-Alvarez. “This boat represents our commitment to giving our rowers exceptional resources to develop their skills and compete successfully.”
The confirmation came directly from Filippi Boats, the premier Italian manufacturer of racing shells. The boat features performance riggers and cutting-edge carbon fiber technology, providing Ridgewood athletes with a world-class racing experience.
This acquisition continues Ridgewood Crew’s tradition of investing in top-quality equipment and programming to support the development of young rowers. The Olympic boat will be used by Ridgewood Crew’s competitive squad as they prepare for upcoming spring regattas.
In the program’s 20-year history, Ridgewood Crew rowers have competed and excelled in both national and international competitions and its athletes have attracted interest from top rowing colleges and universities around the country.
