Ridgewood firefighters douse raging dumpster fire

Ridgewood NJ, A dumpster fire in the rear of 111 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood sparked several 911 calls just before 1:30 PM on Sunday.  Due to the proximity of the dumpster in relation to occupied buildings, all on duty Ridgewood firefighters responded to the scene.  The fire was completely extinguished within 2 minutes of firefighters’ arrival.  No injuries were reported and damage was contained to the dumpster and its contents.  Ridgewood PD is investigating the fire’s cause.
