Ridgewood NJ,Ridgewood Football Coach Chuck Johnson,is set to start his 35th season , looking to improve on last years 8-3 record , with a loss in North 1 Group 5 semifinals and an overall team ranking # 9.
The Maroons jumped out to a 6-1 record last year before dropping a 15-7 game to Passaic Tech with the league title on the line. They won their playoff opener against Clifton before a disappointing 49-14 loss to Montclair .
This season’s difficult early schedule facing Old Tappan, Irvington and Passaic Tech in the first three games, the Maroons , but all eyes are on a rematch with Montclair in the post season where they will be looking to settle the score after last years loss.
