Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood High School FTC Robotics Team reached another milestone in their competition, successfully operating their robot and scoring points in 3 trials. Team Woodchips worked many hours to get the different parts to work together and take another step in their competition season.
In January we reported that, “FIRST Tech Challenge teams design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and collaboration.”
So refreshing to see the kids learning actionable skills. I hope the school also has a technical skills programs for electrical, carpentry, HVAC and plumbing. All these skills can help those not college oriented.
