Ridgewood N J, Ridgewood High School senior MJ Aguilar has made a significant contribution to the Village of Ridgewood by helping to create an “Access” logo. This logo is part of the broader initiative known as Access Ridgewood, aimed at increasing awareness of individuals with disabilities and fostering a more inclusive community.

“The goal of the logo is to promote access as well as to create further recognition for the disabled community of Ridgewood,” said MJ, who collaborated closely with Councilmember Winograd on the project. MJ’s personal connection to the cause—having a disabled family member—made this project particularly meaningful. “Having the opportunity to advocate for others with disabilities is so rewarding,” MJ shared.

MJ believes, and we certainly agree, that “our great town should be enjoyed by everybody, and our logo is a great way to make sure it actually is.”

The new “Access” logo serves as a powerful symbol of Ridgewood’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all residents. It stands as a reminder that our community values and strives for the full participation and enjoyment of every individual.

  3. Another stupid Winograd initiative. Her “intern” came up with this.

  4. I would like to give the kid a break and recognize a good effort when I see one. That being said, it is unfortunately that his good efforts in trying to do something positive happens to be aligned with a council person who is misguided, at best, in her approach to these initiatives. If you have or had a disabled family member as Winograd has, then you would think that you would make it your priority, to honor that any decision you make should have people’s health and safety at the forefront. She does not and is truly misdirecting her energies and essentially lacking the human elements and foresight that are required in her capacity as an elected council person.

    1. I read her father’s obituary and it says nothing about his alleged disability. Did she just make that shit up?

      1. Not every aspect of a person’s life, including their hardships, are in an obituary, you absolute ghoul.

This is what you do with your Saturday? Look up obituaries for people you don’t know for some “gotcha” information?

        1. The council woman put herself out there by talking about her father having survived polio and despite that fact, she continues to focus on things that don’t promote health and safety. Why is that? A lot of residents now realize that her value system is out of what and that her actions are not aligned with her dialogue. Because of this is she is not respected as a person who is interested in keeping residents safe. Unfortunately most people see that her motivation is entirely self serving and self promotional.

  6. The kid was trying to do something positive for the village and one day he too will learn that the village says one thing and does another. Maybe he can make a sign for people who get sick from the PFAS in Ridgewood water or PFAS from the turf fields. If someone like him would stand up and say the hypocrisy has to stop maybe she would take the cotton out of her ears.

  7. Good effort, he just didn’t realize he is interning for the idiot stick figure without a soul who is a complete hypocrite.

  8. Great work. Thank you!

  9. Another idiotic virtue signaling useless gesture.

Real heroes and truly effective people just quietly get the work done.

Posers and self-serving charlatans just make a lot of noise and get nothing of significance done.

Hey! Congresspeople, Senators, Dogs and Ponies need jobs, too!

    2. That’s Winograd summed up. The kid got caught in her drama and tried to do somthing good. So many people think that Siobahn is a wingnut, so no reflection on the kid but she is worthless.

  10. Seriously, the only symbol missing is a dollar sign, which is the only way to access Ridgewood.

    1. Welcome to expensive!! Isn’t that what she said? Ass clown.
