The spirit of gratitude warmed Memorial Park at Van Neste Square this Veterans Day, as Ridgewood residents gathered for the annual tribute to those who have served. Hosted by the American Legion Post 53, the service was a powerful demonstration of community support for our nation’s heroes.
Ridgewood Village Manager Keith Kazmark thanked everyone who attended the solemn ceremony:
“While a cold day outside, Ridgewood came together to honor our Veterans in such a special way. God bless each of them for their service and sacrifice.”

A Town Tradition: Never Forget the Sacrifice
The annual Veterans Day service is a cornerstone tradition in Ridgewood, ensuring that the sacrifices made by all who have worn the uniform—past and present—are never forgotten. The service offers a moment of solemn respect and gratitude, reinforcing the community’s commitment to veterans’ well-being and honor.
The ceremony took place promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11th, ensuring the tribute coincided with the official moment of the Armistice that ended World War I.

Thank You to American Legion Post 53
A special thank you is extended to the members of American Legion Post 53 for their tireless work in organizing and hosting this crucial event every year. Their dedication preserves this vital tradition of respect and remembrance in Bergen County.
The strong turnout, even in the chilly weather, sent a clear message: Ridgewood stands with its veterans.

WINO-grad was up on stage looking like she’d rather be anywhere else than there. Probably missing a hot yoga class or a latte date with some of the other village shrews.
FAKE Council.
They could give two craps about our veterans. It’s a photo op and they don’t care. Look at their special interest groups, look at the Maroons and how they fired a female trainer who served in the Marine Corps and went above and beyond for the girls that she trained for years. This town has no respect at all. And then to fire her, when it’s coming to light that everything she said was true, just wow. An absolutely disgrace of a council, Mayor and village manager.
Pee Wee looks pathetic.
