Ridgewood NJ,  the Director of the Ridgewood Public Library  Nancy Greene gave a short presentation with some “facts and figures” on Wednesday night at the Village Council meeting. This had not been announced in advance ,and if it had been properly announced on the AGENDA many more people would have been at the meeting. Director Greene attempted to address some questions about the renovation but the lack of a formal meeting set up did not leave adequate time .

The director addressed funding : NJ Public Library Construction grants , fund raising and Municipal finance, ie Ridgewood Tax payers  .

She also mentioned a “Saturday May 11th Ridgewood Public Library Forum ” that we can find no notice of anywhere?

Disturbingly the Library continues to be moving forward with little to no public input despite claiming that the library update is to meet the needs of Ridgewood residents , library users  and patrons . Our initial reaction to the entire library project , was why are we spending all this money and not ever mentioning books ?  While the word “book” has made it into the conversation , we still see mostly vanity projects .

  1. We need a new controversy. Losing a few trees at the train station isn’t cutting it.

  3. Bald eagles at Schedler.

  4. Real bald eagles?
