RIDGEWOOD — A 48-year-old village man is charged with aggravated assault in connection with shoving his girlfriend Thursday and training a gun’s laser sight on her earlier Saturday, authorities said.

Robert Luh was originally charged with simple assault in connection with Thursday’s shoving match, but the victim told police about previous incidents, village police Detective Chris McDowell said. He is now charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and terroristic threats.

  1. Who let the crazies loose?

  2. I guess its the season

  3. Since when did the police department start releasing detailed information about domestic violence incidents? Didn’t the State Attorney General put a lock down on that practice? Big lawsuit for the Village here if this guy loses his job because of the slip up.

  4. The guy pulled a gun on his wife. In case you were wondering why the cops and judicial system overreacted to the other guy who spoke at the tea party rally in Teaneck, this is why. A second bad decision would have ended her life.

  5. #3 Criminal complaints arising from DV are subject to public scrutiny, restraining orders and non- criminal complaints can be withheld within dept. guidelines. The Sally Peck Johnson murder was a DV and it was public info. A PD can choose to withhold info pending the conclusion of the investigation, but there is a time limit for release of info after an arrest is made and the case is closed. Get your facts straight.

  6. Full throttle saloon
