Ridgewood Police Remind You to Move Over

Working on the roadside is a dangerous and sometimes deadly job. That’s why the Division of Highway Traffic Safety is asking motorists to Make the Move. What’s the Move? When you see flashing lights on the side of the road, slow down, and if it’s safe, Move Over – away from police, fire crews, paramedics and tow truck drivers. If you make the move, others will follow.

  1. This is so important I’ve been driving along time and so often you hear about a cop or a road worker getting hit and dragged. I will certainly pay attention.

  2. Why do we need a move over LAW? Like we have a seatbelt law for punitive (revenue) reasons masked as a safety law. Like we have a stoplight camera law for punitive (revenue) reasons masked as a safety law.
