Ridgewood Sanitation Services During Snow and Icy Weather
Dear E-Notice Residents,
Due to the recent snow and ice conditions we are requiring that for the foreseeable future your sanitation containers have to be placed on the curb, by the driveway, for pick up. Last week we tried a hybrid approach in telling residents that we would continue rear yard pick-up if the driveways were free and clear of snow and ice. Unfortunately this caused some confusion. We also had four accidents last week of our staff falling and two needing to go to the hospital.
Thanks for your continued cooperation.
Best, Roberta
So the is no snow on my driveway, why can’t they come get the garbage?
If my neighbor doesn’t shovel why should I be penalized?
Also, these employes are paid on “task work”, which means once th job is done, they get to go home for the day. So by mandating curbside when unnecessary , they basically get a bonus, and get to go home early while getting paid for the whole day.
Nobody wants to see an employee get injured, but if my driveway is clear,l the trash needs to get picked up in the back yard.
This place is starting to look a lot like midland park .(their private contractor just tosses the cans alll over).
And my lazy neighbors still haven’t brought their cans in from Mondays pickup.
And the west siders who don’t put the garbage out today won’t get it picked up until next Tuesday ! The town employees get Thursday and Monday holidays this week and next
And since very few are aware of the curbside requirement the garbage crews can breeze through the their route at full throttle today and go home by 10am with a full day’s pay.
Whatever idiot agreed to this Union contract should be terminated.
I guess nobody looks at their calendars judging by the cans at the curb today.
ITs not your turn on the west side until Tuesday
