Ridgewood NJ,Ridgewood School Board attorney Jeff Merlino spoke to the lack of clarity about the process for Board member elections in the first year following the move of the annual election from November to April. Since Mr. Merlino was unable to get formal clarification on this issue from the state and county, a filing was made to the court and a date of February 15 has been set to appear before the judge. Mr. Merlino’s slide presentation may be viewed :

A waste of taxpayer money for the benefit of a few.
May be this attorney should be sued for professional malpractice.
He advised our board of education that election certified by county clerk may not be deemed valid, and forced them into a lawsuit.
The guy looked like a hot sweaty nervous mess on TV. He’s making a lot of $$ for dazzling them with all that bullshit.
Jeffrey Merlino reminded me of the bond attorney at the Village Council a few years ago, who provided guidance to council members and village manager, which ended up costing the mayor and village manager ethic violations with the local finance committee.
Well that Council attorney did not exactly cause Aronsohn and Sonenfeld’s ethics violation. They did that all on their own. Adding to the wall of shame that they created.
