Ridgewood Schools: A Masquerade Party That Wasn’t Meant to Last

Ridgewood NJ, entering her final year as Board of Education member, Ms. Brogan- like a graduating high school senior- has bequeathed the entirety of Ridgewood Public Schools to her long-time political partners. There is an early graduation party happening inside Castle Place and the only way residents get invited is by the subtle touch from a thief in the night.

Almost a century ago, FDR rallied the country by emphatically stating that “we have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Now, extreme ideological leaders- those directly involved in the future of Ridgewood’s Public Schools-are finding opportunities to exploit fear for political gain. These party poopers moved so far left through the multi-room castle only to find that they have locked themselves inside a structure with no clear exit signs.

Party goers are seeing their reflection from the clock at the end of the room and asking “are we locked in?” Others are signing “then step this way, step that way” to find the exit doors that open to the right on November 4th.

The Ridgewood Board of Education has permitted the contracts for the following companies: Monello Landscaping; ACB Custodians; Fairview Insurance; and CBIZ Insurance brokers. Local news outlets have covered Fairview Insurance’s political contributions to Andre Sayegh, Paterson’s Mayor; John Bartlett, a Passaic County Commissioner, Assemblyman Al Abdelaziz; and the Passaic County Democratic Committee. These three contracts awarded by the BoE have close connections to Paterson Schools, Paterson and area Democratic politicians and current Ridgewood leaders. Presumably, there are others hiding throughout the seven rooms.

Remember, only Ridgewood residents are allowed to vote for Village prom queen this time.
