RIDGEWOOD, NJ – Big news for Ridgewood High School athletics: sophomore Lindsay LaBier has been named to the 2025 U.S. Girls’ U15 National Lacrosse Team, an honor reserved for the nation’s top young lacrosse talent.
LaBier is among just 24 players nationwide selected following a rigorous evaluation process that included five regional ID clinics and virtual applications as part of the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP).
The team will represent the United States during the Rivalry Challenge, facing off against Lacrosse Canada from September 18–21, 2025 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
A Rising Lacrosse Star from Ridgewood
LaBier’s selection reflects not only her skill on the field but also the strength of Ridgewood’s lacrosse program, which has consistently produced standout players on the state and national levels.
This year, the NTDP expanded to six teams across three age groups (U15, U17, U19 for both boys and girls), with more than 2,000 players nationwide participating in the selection process. Since its launch in 2019, the program has provided elite training opportunities to acclimate players to the national team system.
Coaching and Support
The U.S. Girls’ U15 Youth National Team will be led by Darcy Messina, head coach at powerhouse St. Anthony’s (NY), alongside assistants Shanna Brady (University of Virginia), Madison Doucette (New York Charging – WLL), and Lisa Lindley (Darien High School, Conn.).
The NTDP is supported by major sponsors including Capelli Sport, Gait Lacrosse, STX, MedStar Health, Athletic Republic, First Scout Productions, HotelPlanner, and NCSA.

LaBier’s achievement places her among the top youth lacrosse players in the country, and her community is cheering her on as she represents both Ridgewood and the United States on the international stage.
