River Vale Nj, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 20-year-old JULIAN A. MORRIS of River Vale, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Deputy Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the River Vale Police Department, under the direction of Chief Christopher Bulger.
On Thursday, January 1, 2026, the River Vale Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the River Vale Police Department revealed that JULIAN A. MORRIS sexually assaulted an incapacitated female victim in River Vale during the early morning hours of January 1, 2026.
As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, January 8, 2025, JULIAN A. MORRIS was arrested in River Vale, NJ and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(7)(a); and second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1). MORRIS was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the River Vale Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
