SADDLE RIVER, NJ | October 15, 2025 – The community of Saddle River, New Jersey, is enveloped in shock and deep sadness following the sudden announcement of the death of one of its most dedicated figures, Jack Inserra. A beloved father, influential friend, and leader, Inserra’s impact stretched across the firehouse, the financial world, and local sports fields.
Mr. Inserra, a fixture in the community and a Wealth Management Advisor, served the Saddle River Fire Department (SRFD) with unwavering commitment for more than 20 years, even holding the role of Association Ex-President.
Decades of Devotion to the Fire Department
The Saddle River Fire Department shared the somber news on Wednesday, highlighting Inserra’s two decades of distinguished service.
“Jack proudly served the Saddle River Fire Department for over 20 years, dedicating himself to the department and the community with unwavering commitment and pride,” the SRFD wrote. “Please keep our brother Jack and his family in your thoughts and prayers… Rest easy, brother — we’ll take it from here.”
The Saddle River NJ CERT team echoed the sentiment, calling Inserra “a wonderful father and truly a wonderful person,” who was “always ready and willing to help out and always had a smile on his face.”
A “Bigger Than Life” Professional and Athlete
Beyond his heroic volunteer work, Jack Inserra was a highly respected professional. He served as a Wealth Management Director at Citizens Private Wealth, providing financial guidance to families, business owners, and high-net-worth clients for over 30 years.
His larger-than-life persona was noted by friend Phil Ross: “When Jack entered the room, you knew it—a big smile, bear hug and a kiss.”
Inserra’s impressive background also included his time as a scholarship athlete at Penn State University, where he excelled on both the football and wrestling teams. He carried that athletic spirit into his personal life, volunteering as a dedicated youth sports coach and a proud father.
The profound loss is felt deeply, as Ross summarized: “Jack loved life and was bigger than life… He was taken from us too soon. RIP brother. I miss you and love you.”
The community awaits information on funeral and memorial arrangements to honor this truly wonderful person and dedicated public servant.
