Six Democrat Lawmakers Accused of Going Full “Benedict Arnold”

Washington DC, a political firestorm is raging over national security and military discipline after a group of Democrat lawmakers, dubbed the “Seditious Six” by War Secretary Pete Hegseth, released a video encouraging military members to defy orders from their superiors.

Secretary Hegseth launched a sharp social media attack early Tuesday morning, condemning the video as a “despicable” and “significant breach” of the military chain of command, arguing it poses a severe threat to good order and discipline across the armed forces.

Why the Video is a Serious Breach of Military Law

The video featured six prominent Democrats, all of whom are veterans: Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6), along with Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ).

Hegseth argued that the message, framed around resisting “unlawful orders,” is a political influence operation designed to create chaos.

“In the military, vague rhetoric and ambiguity undermines trust, creates hesitation in the chain of command, and erodes cohesion,” Hegseth stated.

Crucially, Hegseth noted that the military already has clear procedures under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) for handling unlawful orders. By inserting political doubt, the lawmakers intentionally sow chaos intended to make the Commander-in-Chief’s missions fail. Such chaos could result in hesitation, leading to injury or death for servicemembers.

The Problem: No Actual Illegal Orders Named

A key criticism from Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance is that none of the “Seditious Six” has been able to name a single specific “illegal order” that they were referencing.

When directly questioned, Senator Elissa Slotkin admitted, “To my knowledge, I — I am not aware of things that are illegal,” instead vaguely referencing “legal gymnastics” related to Caribbean strikes.

Hegseth argues the goal was not to address a real issue, but rather to encourage military members to interpret actions—such as immigration enforcement, domestic crime cleanup, or defensive maneuvers—as unlawful on their own, severely undermining the chain of command.

Mark Kelly Under Investigation & Uniform Scrutiny

The backlash has already led to consequences for one of the lawmakers. A Department of War statement confirmed that Senator Mark Kelly, a former Navy pilot and astronaut, is under investigation for “serious allegations of misconduct.” Further administrative measures or even a potential court-martial are being considered.

Kelly responded by posting a picture of his military decorations, but Secretary Hegseth immediately mocked the attempt, claiming the Senator had displayed his uniform incorrectly:

“So ‘Captain’ Kelly, not only did your sedition video intentionally undercut good order & discipline…but you can’t even display your uniform correctly,” Hegseth claimed. “Your medals are out of order & rows reversed.”

The debate has escalated further, with Democrats staunchly defending Kelly. Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) went so far as to threaten military personnel who participate in the investigation, warning that “there will be consequences, without a doubt.”

The Department of War, however, insists it will not tolerate what it views as blatant attempts to undermine the nation’s military integrity.

    1. Rather than using ambiguous statements like that, explain the law that you believe DT is breaking?

    2. Just like the video to tell Democrat congressmen to not murder their constituents. Just telling them to follow the law… nothing else……
      RIGHT ?

  4. Two National Guardsmen shot today in DC…

    1. Yeah, so? The shooting is not connected to the statements. The statements simply and explicitly remind service members that they have a duty to support legal actions and to not follow orders who’s outcomes are illegal.
