GLEN ROCK, NJ — A local teen reported a disturbing encounter near Glen Rock High School on May 25, 2025, when he and his friends were allegedly targeted by Airsoft gunfire during a game of spike ball, according to the Glen Rock Police Department.
The teen told police he was near the high school football field when a group of younger teens approached on e-bikes, wearing full helmets. Police said that “words were exchanged” between the two groups before one of the younger teens pulled an Airsoft pellet gun from his waistband and began firing at the older teens.
The victim and his friend ran from the scene, and no injuries were reported. The teen later informed his parents, who then contacted police.
Glen Rock Police Investigating
By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled. Glen Rock Police said they will review surveillance footage near the school and continue the investigation.
The victim could not identify the assailants, describing only that they were on e-bikes and wearing full-face helmets.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact the Detective Bureau at (201) 670-3947 or (201) 670-3948.
