Fair Lawn NJ, Pickleball enthusiasts in Bergen County have a new destination to enjoy their favorite sport. The Picklr, a premier indoor pickleball facility, officially opened its doors in Fair Lawn on Saturday, bringing a state-of-the-art playing experience to the area.
A State-of-the-Art Pickleball Experience
Located at 18-01 Pollitt Drive, The Picklr boasts a 32,000-square-foot indoor facility featuring 12 fully fenced, oversized courts with outdoor-style court surfacing. The venue also includes a pro shop stocked with pickleball gear and a private event space for gatherings, making it a hub for both casual and competitive players.
The grand opening event featured raffles, a food truck, and a chance for attendees to meet with a physical therapist, adding to the excitement of the launch. The building, previously a warehouse, has been transformed into a dynamic sports venue designed to foster community and competitive spirit.
Building a Pickleball Community
“We opened because we want to build a community,” said Fair Lawn co-owner Wai Yiu. “People of different ages can play together. We see grandparents playing with grandsons and people from different backgrounds coming together.”
Pickleball’s popularity has been on the rise nationwide, and The Picklr aims to provide a top-tier facility where both beginners and experienced players can enjoy the game year-round.

The Picklr offers several membership tiers, making it accessible for both casual players and dedicated enthusiasts.

Founded in Utah just four years ago, The Picklr has rapidly expanded, with Fair Lawn becoming its 37th location. According to Chief Strategy Officer Steven Russell, the company plans to reach 88 locations by the end of 2025. The franchise currently has one other New Jersey location in Manahawkin.
A Facility Designed for Comfort and Learning
One standout feature of The Picklr’s Fair Lawn location is its advanced sound baffle system, which absorbs the noise of the game and makes conversations easier during play. Additionally, The Picklr offers training clinics tailored to players of all skill levels.
“We have opportunities for you to come and learn,” said Russell. “You don’t have to be a member to start playing. We welcome anyone who is curious about the sport to visit and give it a try.”
