  1. I like the tree by the train station. It looks nice and all the people who commute to north of Ridgwood can be jealous of our greatness.

  2. Valley hospital allows Menorahs and holiday trees but not a nativity scene.

Apparently they think that the Menorah is not a symbol of a religion. Even though it is used in the celebration of Hanukkah – a religious celebration.

The Christmas tree has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus, it actually comes from a pagan holiday.

So if Valley decorates with Menorahs why won’t they allow a creche? They can’t pretend that the Menorah is a secular candelabrum.

  3. Yes #1 and Paul the Greek has a front row seat as it should be. He is the Mayor friend and President of the Chamber.

  4. #2 – is a token contribution by Valley Hospital to a town event really worth questioning?

  5. Yes, Rob, it is worth mentioning

If you don’t like that guy don’t eat there. But it sounds like you’d rather move the tree to the duck pond just to spite the guy.

It belongs at the train station. Full stop.

  7. You tell hom Paul.

    You tell hom Paul.

    Who is hom?

Why is it that I picture half of you posters wiping rage spittle off your keyboards every five minutes? Slow down. Take a breath. Type what you want to type. Read it. Correct it, then “Post Comment” if it looks correct.

I am not Paul. I am a completely random and inconsequential resident, and I like the tree there when I get off the train. The tree in Van Neste is nice too, but it is up off the road and out of the way.

    1. Everyone likes the Christmas tree at the train station , it is one of those things that makes Ridgewood Ridgewood

Huh. You and I agree on something.

  10. Train station is the best spot for the tree. The garbage tree in the park is not.
