Two Ridgewood Teens to be confirmed by Pope Francis

Ridgewood NJ, CBS News is reporting that Two Ridgewood teens are set to embark Tuesday on a trip to Rome to be confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church by Pope Francis, himself.
Brigid Miniter, 14, and Anthony Merejo, 17, of Ridgewood, told CBS News that they were prepared for the biggest journey of their lives were thrilled as they prepared to leave.
Both Anthony and Bridgid are Confirmation candidates from Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood.
Out of the 40 candidates from around the world selected to be confirmed by the Pope, Anthony and Bridgid are the only 2 candidates to represent not only the United States, but all of North America.
Minter told CBS “It doesn’t seem real at all. I am super-excited, though,” and Merejo added
“I just get goose bumps when I think about it – I am going to be in Rome, in the Vatican,” … “Being in the Mass, and himself confirming me is very moving.
