U.S. Department of Health Report Concluded New Jersey Veterans under State Care were “denied a dignified existence”

The Veterans of Foreign Wars vividly remembers the needless and tragic deaths of our veterans and family members residing in the Menlo Park and Paramus Memorial Homes. We still mourn the loss of our comrades in arms and as we have from the beginning, continue to fight for them and those who survived.

While we hope that the $84.9 million dollar settlements will bring some closure to the families, no amount of money can erase the evidence presented by the U.S. Department of Health report which concluded our veterans under state care were “denied a dignified existence”.

The frontline employees also endured death, illness, and hardships, and we thank them for doing their best under difficult circumstances to care for our veterans.

We would like to thank those who supported the families and the VFW fight in the removal of the leadership responsible for the tragedy, and the enactment of legislation that will ensure the health and well-being of our veterans is never an afterthought.

  1. Everything is going to plan…

    We are on Step 5.

    1) Create crisis (COVID)
    2) Impose draconian restrictions, reduce freedoms and seize power (mandatory lockdowns, vaccines, masks)
    3) Recklessly make fatal mistakes in the frenzied grab for power (Nursing Home deaths)
    4) Utilize power to achieve political goal (2020 election -stop Trump)
    5) Admit mistake (Nursing Home Deaths) after political goal achieved
    6) Find and punish scapegoat
    7) Proclaim “Fix” to the problem but actually impose EVEN MORE draconian restrictions, dressing them up as “reform” while BLAMING your political opponent for “creating the conditions” that “forced” you to have no choice but to make the prior fatal mistakes.
    8) Fund this “fix” with A LOT of taxpayer money – and use 90% of that money to advance your OTHER political objectives while using the other 10% for lip service to “fixing” the problem and paying off any affected “complainers (families of the deceased).
    9) Repeat.
