A pool sharing apps allow you to rent a private swimming pool. A pool-sharing apps like Swimmy or Poolshare are making waves by allowing guests to rent out other pools.
The Borough posted the following on their Facebook page: Short Term Home and Pool Rentals are Prohibited: Per Borough ordinance Chapter 108, Section 4, dwellings or homes, furnished or unfurnished, may not be rented for 175 days or less, and swimming pools and other amenities associated with a dwelling may not be rented at all. The advertisement of either a dwelling or a swimming pool as being available for rental is also prohibited per Chapter 108, Section 8.
Any violation will result in a penalty of a fine not more than $1,250. Each day of such violation shall be a new and separate violation. To read the ordinance, visit : https://ecode360.com/8646297
great idea
i have read about many of these short term one night rentals of large homes turned into massive uncontrollable parties by the ”college students and youths” from shithole cities lok
no big houses with pools for rent in Newark or Paterson
This was inevitable.
Swimming pool EQUITY
hard to imagine that a home owner’s insurance policy would allow this
They don’t, but people don’t tell their insurance companies that they do it.
They also think the insurance company can’t find out……….because they think the insurance companies are as stupid as they are (and probably as rich)
Good luck with the air bnb ban.
The municipality’s can’t and don’t enforce it. Why?
Because they can’t.
